In Flutura Açka’s novel ‘The Son’ we are dealing with a narration that is built in the form of an enigmatic puzzle of symbols, dates, numbers, names and paths lived and through an immortalization they build a mother’s journey and configure the ex-mother (as is called in the novel), making us experience and envision two mother figures: the mother before the loss of her son and the mother after the loss.
